Bianca Bernardo
Master in Arts (Ppgartes-UERJ), responsible for the development of socio-educational projects in cultural institutions since 2005. Pedagogical curator of the XI Mercosur Biennial in 2018 and educational manager of the Museu de Arte Contemporânea Bispo do Rosário between 2013-17. She worked at the Museo Nacional de las Culturas in Mexico City in 2017 and completed an artist residency for pedagogical practices in contemporary art at the Hyde Park Art Centre in Chicago/USA in the same year. Co-founder of the independent art space Saracura between 2016 and 2019 in Rio de Janeiro, co-idealization of the video art platform (www.covideo19.art). She is a lecturer at national and international seminars and institutions, such as Purdue University, Funarte, Trienal de Sorocaba, Fórum Permanente, Museu da Língua Portuguesa and SESC Nacional, among others. Between 2021 and 2024, she carried out the project "Portunholas" with 13 women artists from different South American countries and the project "Making Soup" with the support of the Goethe Institut.
In 2023, she curated the exhibition "On the threshold: with this mouth, in this world", with artists Claudia Casarino, Bettina Brizuela and Rosângela Rennó at the Migliorisi Foundation in Asunción, Paraguay. She was artistic director of Anita Schwartz Art Gallery between 2021 and 2023 and is currently Liaison and Communication Manager at A Gentil Carioca Gallery in Rio de Janeiro.
