Pinta Sud | ASU organizes the third and final edition of Art Week in Asunción, Paraguay, from August 5 to 11, 2024, with contemporary art and cultural activations throughout the city in collaboration with public and private agents. This program invites you to discover the uniqueness of Asuncion´s art scene and to delve into its invigorating cultural offerings.

 

Since 2022, the Pinta Sud initiative brings cultural programs in cities across Latin America to celebrate their growing artistic scenes. Its mission is to strengthen cultural networks between the international art world and the local scene, resulting in economic and educational opportunities for Latin American art.

This edition brings together key curators and specialists both local and international. The following specialists will be part of FORO the talks program:  Isabella Lenzi, Inés Katzenstein, Raphael Fonseca, Bianca Bernardo, Cuauhtemoc Medina González, María Amalia García, Vivian Crockett, Isabella Rjeille, Luciana Pereira. From the national scene, renown curators will hold exhibition proposals: Ticio Escobar, Lia Colombino, Fredi Casco and Damian Cabrera alongside the young curators Gustavo Riego, Majo Fiorio and Luis Ocampos Pompa. This program is curated by Adriana Almada with the support of Irene Gelfman, Global Curator of Pinta.
