Alban Martínez Gueyraud 

Architect from the National University of Asunción (UNA), teacher, art critic, and independent curator. He holds a Master's degree in "History, Art, Architecture, and City" (1993) and a Doctorate in Architecture from ETSAB, UPC, Barcelona, Spain (2005). His doctoral thesis – "The Reality of Antoni Tàpies. 1943-1958" – received the highest honors, cum laude (2005), and was a finalist for the Extraordinary Doctoral Thesis Award of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) (2004-2005). It was declared of scientific interest by the Tàpies Foundation and Casa Asia of Barcelona (2007).

Former Director of the Design Programs (2008-2012) and Architecture (2018) at Columbia University of Paraguay, in Asunción. He currently teaches in the Architecture and Cinematography programs at Columbia University of Paraguay. He is also a professor at the Higher Institute of Art and the Music Bachelor's program, both under the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Art at the National University of Asunción. He is a member of the Academic Committee of the Doctorate in Design at the University of Palermo, Buenos Aires. Member of AICA (International Association of Art Critics), ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites), and ALADI (Latin American Design Association).
