Bettina Brizuela Artist and Manager
Paraguay, 1969. Lives and works in Asunción.
She studied Art at the Brazilian Study Center with Livio Abramo and at the Olga Blinder Higher Institute of Art at the National University of Asunción. In 2001, she received the Jacinto Rivero Award from the Faro Foundation's Visual Arts Patronage Program. She has participated in various visual arts biennials, as well as collective and individual exhibitions, both nationally and internationally. Her work has been featured in various publications such as magazines, catalogs, and visual arts books. Her works are found in both private collections and Cultural Centers.
Recently, she was awarded the AICA 2022 International Association of Art Critics Paraguay Prize for her solo exhibition "Ahora o Nunca" held at Fundación Texo.
From 2006 to 2013, she co-managed the Larissa Jiménez / Planta Alta Gallery, selecting artists and producing exhibitions.
She currently directs Fuga V. Morra, an art space that has been hosting bimonthly exhibitions since 2021.
